Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, offers a dynamic mix of urban charm and natural wonders. This itinerary begins with a comprehensive Almaty City Tour, where you’ll visit key landmarks such as Panfilov Park and take a leisurely walk through the vibrant Arbat Street, a lively area filled with local shops and cafes. Afterward, head up to Kok Tobe, a hilltop park offering breathtaking views of the city and mountains. You’ll then descend via a scenic cable car ride, an unforgettable experience.

Next, immerse yourself in the beauty of Shymbulak Ski Resort, one of Kazakhstan’s premier alpine resorts, surrounded by towering peaks and offering fresh mountain air. From here, venture beyond the city with a trip to the stunning Kolsai Lakes, a trio of crystal-clear mountain lakes. On your way, explore the awe-inspiring Charyn Canyon, known for its dramatic rock formations and deep ravines.

 

The adventure concludes with a visit to Kaindy Lake, famous for its sunken forest and clear turquoise waters, making it a photographer’s paradise and a serene escape

Itinerary

DAY 01- ARRIVAL AT ALMATY AIRPORT.

  • We will arrive at the Almaty Airport where our representative will greet you and assist you for your transit to Krabi.
  • We will check-in to hotel and prepare ourselves for the day at leisure.
  • Dinner will be served at the hotel and post dinner; we will arrange a DJ night at the hotel/club in Almaty.

DAY 02- ALMATY CITY TOUR

  • You will wake up with a view of Almaty city at the hotel and breakfast will be served at the hotel.
  • We will be doing the city tour exploring the local places and learn about their culture.
  • We will first visit the oldest garden city in Almaty, The Panfilov’s 28 Guardsmen.
  • Roaming in the garden, we will visit Zenkov Cathedral (Ascension Cathedral) which is the second highest wooden Orthodox church in world.
  • Further, we will be exploring the World War II memorial which is made as a tribute to Panfilov Heroes.
  • We will explore the local streets of Almaty, popular landmarks and lively Panfilov and Arbat Streets.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 03- THE SHYMBULAK SKI RESPORT

  • After breakfast we will get ready to explore further Almaty and its beauty.
  • We will visit the Shymbulak Mountain which is a 30km journey from the city.
  • There will be cable cars waiting for you to take us to the top of the mountain.
  • The cable car ride is a 3-part ride that takes you to the top and then we embrace the views of surrounding mountains that are lush green in summers and snow covered in winters.
  • Shymbulak is the largest ski resort in Kazakhstan which also hosts winter sports competitions.
  • After spending the day in mountains, we will head back to our hotel.

DAY 04- KOLSAI LAKE. CHARYN CANYON

  • We will wake up in the city, have our breakfast and check-out from hotel and take a roadtrip to Kolsai Lake through the landscapes of Kazakhstan.
  • On the way to the Lake, we will take a halt at biggest canyon in Asia- the Charyn Canyon. We will hike inside the canyon and explore the various natural rock formations.
  • After reaching the Kolsai lake, we will spend some time there and enjoy the beauty of majestic lake surrounded by the mountains.
  • We will then head to Saty village where we will staying overnight.

DAY 05- KAINDY LAKE

  • After kicking in the yummy breakfast at stay in Saty, we will be travelling to Almaty city.
  • We will visit the Kaindy Lake on the way to Almaty and spend some time there.
  • Kaindy lake is a 2km hike in the rough mountains that will lead us to the beautiful lake in the mountains.
  • After coming back to the base, we will reach our hotel in Almaty and rest.

DAY 06- ADIOS ALMATY.

  • Post breakfast at the hotel, we will be provided some leisure time till the drop off time to airport comes.
  • We can visit Central Museum, Musical Museum, green bazaar etc. You may also spend the day shopping and buy souvenirs.
  • We will leave for Almaty Airport.
  • Here comes the end to an amazing tour with TripSetGo once we drop you off at the airport.
  • You will be taking along lifetime of memories with you and also crossing off another beautiful location off you bucketlist.
